In 1996, the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry (KSO) launched the KSO Concerts to promote classical music and foster cultural development. Due to the increasing number of cultural events, a music director began working within the Chamber in September 2005 to support and coordinate these efforts.

As a result of these initiatives, the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry Chamber Orchestra was established in January 2007 with an ensemble of 18 young and idealistic musicians.

By founding the first classical music orchestra in Kocaeli, the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry not only led a cultural milestone in the region but also made history as the first chamber of industry in the world to establish its own chamber orchestra.

With the slogan “The Rhythm of Production”, the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry Orchestra has, since its inception, contributed to bringing society together through music in a universal atmosphere by offering public concerts—showing that, in Kocaeli, not only automobiles, tires, and energy are produced, but also music.
