US Consumer Electronics Show Introduced at the KSO

On the 2nd of November at the KSO Izmit headquarters the US Istanbul Consulate General in cooperation with the KSO presented the Investment in USA program (Select USA) and the Consumer Electronics Show. From the USA Istanbul Consulate, General Trade Attaché Neil Pickett along with Trade Expert Gokce Tuncer and Public Relations Department Coordinator Selda Serifsoy participated in the program; Mr Neil Pickett and Ms Gokce Tuncer will be organizing Select USA as part of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on 05-08 January 2017 and they passed this information on to a delegation of Turkish businessmen.

Select USA Program; It provides free consulting services to foreign companies while demonstrating the advantages of investing in the US. It aims to help business owners who want to invest in the US or grow their business there, to help them understand the logistics process of opening and expanding businesses, bring investors up to speed with local or federal resources on investment opportunities and incentives for business development. It provides information and potential business partners by linking with organizations in the sector, enabling them to identify barriers to successful collaboration with federal agencies. Furthermore it provides information on the US regulatory framework which must be observed when setting up a business and employing workers. During the presentation, as a parallel subject information was given on the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s largest electronics fair. It was stated that participation in this event gave the opportunity to meet with thousands of electronics and technology companies. A total of 3,600 exhibitors from around the world have presented 20,000 new products to 170,000 exhibitors at this exhibition, bringing together consumers with technology products manufacturers, distributors, researchers, content developers, cost and industry analysts, retailers and buyers and decision makers in the retail distribution channel.

At the end of the presentation, KSO Deputy Secretary General Egemen Mert presented a crystal model of the KSO Chamber to the US Consulate General of Istanbul, Neil Pickett.
